What to Tell the Doctor
- If the person develops a Stage 1 pressure ulcer, call the doctor.
- If a Stage 1 ulcer advances to a Stage 2 or higher, call the doctor about treatment options. The doctor may refer you to a wound care specialist.
- Let the doctor know if you frequently observe redness of the skin during turning and how the skin responds to bathing.
